Growing up, I didn't play with makeup, I didn't really have an interest in playing with dolls, and I wore the clothes bought for me. Mom used eyeliner, and that was basically her makeup routine! She dressed comfortably, and her hair was short and cropped.
Nevertheless, in my teens I developed a great love for makeup and clothes and poured over magazines with a hunger that seemed unlikely to satisfy! I understood style, and outfits that made you look great even if you are just cleaning up around the house!
About ten years ago, I started selling Avon for an extra income, but it bloomed into something much more beautiful: I started an email beauty blog (even if it was only about twenty-five people at that stage), did makeup for various occasions (including a wedding), and even did a full makeover and was asked to do my thing at a fundraiser!
Enter life, and a few months later I had moved to Pretoria and struggled to make ends meet in a new environment with a lot of interesting challenges. I did do a stint of personal shopping for a client, but there was no real time for me to express myself further in this area.
After that moving back to the Vaal Triangle did feel like I got my butt kicked a bit, but I got up, got a job, got divorced, and after trying life out alone for 2 years, met my soulmate, and I am now more inspired and loved than I have ever been before!
My passion for beauty and image never died down, even when I had to push it aside.
Last year I enrolled for an Image Consultant course, and in February this year, I got certified, which is one of the happiest moments in my life! I have learned so much through the years, not just about makeup, and style, and which colours suit you best, but also about myself, and just how much a passion can drive you!
This blog is my canvas, and you are my muses. I would love for you to learn and grow with me, and welcome you!
