One of my most important subjects in my studies (while doing my Image Consultant qualification) was Colour Analysis. I was immediately intrigued by it, and since doing the analysis on myself, I know what a huge difference it makes!
When it comes to personal colour and how we wear colours, it is divided into 4 seasons: Winter, Summer, Spring and Autumn. Each of these have three subcategories, mainly bright, soft or deep. We all fall into one of these seasons' subcategory, and this determines which colours look best on us. A colour analysis is done by analysing a person's complexion, hair and eye colour, as well as hues, and through that, determining what season and subcategory you fit into!
Growing up, I didn't play with makeup, I didn't really have an interest in playing with dolls, and I wore the clothes bought for me. Mom used eyeliner, and that was basically her makeup routine! She dressed comfortably, and her hair was short and cropped.
Nevertheless, in my teens I developed a great love for makeup and clothes and poured over magazines with a hunger that seemed unlikely to satisfy! I understood style, and outfits that made you look great even if you are just cleaning up around the house!
